I thought this artist might be helpful to look at, especially if you continue using working on the 'nest'. I love the way she uses fabrics, yarns, and strings and my favorite piece is Unicorn Puking on The Dance Floor. She went to grad school while I was in undergrad so she is still quite young and emerging, here is her website
